Ocracoke, NC, could very well be where I could live out my life, if I had the money to buy!

Such a neat place to visit, Such a neater place to live, We’ve been there a couple times, It is worth multiple rhymes… Ocracoke never gets old, To live there during a hurricane is very bold, Mostly evacuated is the populace, But some stay, needing to get off, the Nautilus… No bridges so when the ferry closes, Your life is all island related, roses, Many places to eat & drink, During hurricanes one has to remain hydrated, While hoping the island does not ever sink. © -ed- 3/10/20

And why would you want to live there if it's prone to hurricanes? I prefer stability. I never achieve it. But I prefer it.

Unfortunately, these low-lying islands are much at risk. If not destroyed by increasing hurricanes, they will be swallowed by the ocean if we cannot stop land ice from melting from Greenland to Antarctica.

In spite of the myth of drinking while under hurricane, with drinks named after it, all that drinking alcohol does is create dehydration.

A beautiful poem though of a place you love.
