To take a trip on the loop,

Not on land but on water,

All captains have a choice of boats,

Doesn’t matter from what age group.

My choice would be a Nordhavn trawler,

A 40 footer, an ocean brawler,

A long distance people hauler,

For such a trip, she couldn’t be much smaller.

My favorite part, the east coasts Intercoastal Waterway,

Or to follow the right path, the “outside” ocean,

But to anchor out, a bay has less motion,

Wish this could be me hearing and saying every morning, anchors aweigh.

But not to be; not in this lifetime, maybe the next…
