No longer can I do sports, with my bad legs...

Poem Artwork

My basketball skills leave a great deal to be desired,

Anything that has to do with my legs for strength begs,

I can’t climb up off the floor, just my overall core,

I cannot use due to lack of physical power, wish I could buy it all back at a store…

No football can I throw, nor any ball with any kind of distance,

All I can do from others is just ask for assistance,

So I guess for me sports is out of the picture,

Though they rarely were ever in the picture for me,

But it makes me cry thinking of all these pictures…

I can’t even ride my bike anymore, the bike solitary in my living room,

It scares me to have myself on top of it, afraid of falling down off of it,

So no longer a runner, no longer a cyclist or a swimmer,

I am sedentary, as I am not even a hedge trimmer, just a dud I am,

I guess I might as well be in the end in a tomb.

May tomorrow's sunrise (assuming it is not hidden by clouds) bring you renewed hope and energy to boot. Love and peace to you, Ed.

I have read that a simple change in diet and lifestyle can reverse those properties that seem more attributable to diabetes than age. But we are what we write and very soon you may be self written off. Tsk, Tsk…

LOL!!! That's what old age does to us. We just can't do a lot of things like we did when we were younger.

The other day I was just simply coming down the stairs and all of sudden, without any signs of warning, my right knee gave way and I twisted my leg! And I went "OUCH!!!!" And did it ever hurt!
