SKINNY DIPPIN’…

I think a song was made with this title once,

Not this time, a song,

Just a little poem, hopefully with that there’s nothing wrong.

Boys are more prone,

To dip in the bare,

As they don’t mind to show their little bone.

But girls are more likely not to bare,

And show their share,

Especially with boys around,

Unless they are young,

Or just playing around.

Nothing sexual is skinny dippin’,

At least not what I recall,

But nowadays everything is considered to be wrong,

Especially if nudity is involved.

We see children on the beach, push down their suits and take a leak,

Mothers get so upset, as if they are doing the “dirty”,

But kids are so open and playful,

Just have to teach them when what they do may be not right.

I read in the paper today of a group of kids that skinny dipped in the school pool,

The teachers and parents, oh they thought this was so very uncool,

But the kids, being kids, would not exit the pool,

That had to be hilarious, parents and teachers circling the pool,

Like vultures waiting for a meal,

And the kids playing and not even noticing all the hub-bub around them.

Wish we all could stay that open and unassuming, but not today,

Today we must recall the consequences of actions,

Take the responsibility for same.

Kids just can’t be kids,

They have to grow up before their time,

What a crying shame that my generation, was the last that had so much fun with only as much as a dime…
