Our trip continues into Tennessee or as some put it online, 10eC...

Poem Artwork

           “TENNESSEE”

We went to Tennessee to visit some online friends,

We came away with happy memories and now friends so real,

Also, I ate my fill of “sisters” wonderful meals,

They said they had to go shopping,

To refill their food cabinets,

So the moral is, don’t invite me,

For food I like a great deal,

Especially when it is free.

We left the Stanton area,

After my friends & the area were wiped out of food,

We headed north to Nashville,

And found it to be,

Another excellent memory.

In Nashville, Rene’ began her collection,

Of Hard Rock café stuff,

We were there on my birthday in August,

And of course I had to nap, for a short time, just,

So out she went, alone this time,

To find the Hard Rock,

And much to my surprise,

She found it in a short turn of the clock.

I say surprise because,

When asked to map a way around St Louis,

To avoid any traffic woes,

Rene’, I found, could not read a map,

                    OH NO!

But as a companion, not navigator or co-pilot,

Rene’ is at her best,

Making jokes to keep me motivating down the road,

Even though she had no clue,

Of where we were or what was new.

We always enjoyed each others company,

On our way to our next stop,

The great State of Kentucky,

Where horses be found,

As well as more friends.

I have to be honest,

We didn’t buy a horse out there,

And for that I feel most lucky…
