Ocracoke Light...

What a wonderful place Ocracoke NC is...

Poem Artwork

Ocracoke Light…

She stands proud over her namesake harbor,

Protecting her population & those of sailors,

From shoals and sandbars that are a many,

Her little island of the same moniker,

Has seen her share of hurricanes,

Pirates used her shores,

To bury the plunder they looted from others.

A wonderful place to make a home, if you ask me,

Or a business as my soul mate and I have thought,

Horses inhabit this island as well,

So Rene’ is very attracted to this, I can tell.

If the day should ever come that we will live,

On this beautiful island place,

You will know from the amount of poems,

Regarding that beautiful place,

That I have found my home,

And quite possibly the place I will die…
