What Makes a Professional?

Is it being published?

Even if it is self-published?

Is it the fact that someone has a big head?

Especially on their shoulders, not in their pants?

Is it because they live off their writings?

From what I have seen of some, they must starve…

Of late, I understand, from others I read & comment upon,

That the professionals on this site, have been desirous of,

Losing the “amateur’s”, making them the only ones that post,

Their works of “art” in the writing field here,

I have no problem with that to be honest, but,

I do have a problem with big-headed, in print authors,

Who, at one time, were also, amateur’s,

Forgetting that fact, and trying to push others off this site…

Could it be because, those same big-headed authors, see,

That some of the amateur’s of today, will be,

The professionals of tomorrow, pushing them to the rear of the line,

And getting the laurels that they, the professionals, now get,

Whether deserved or not, just because, again, they are now professionals?

I may not be too intelligent herein, or anywhere for that matter,

But if I see this, cannot the powers that be also realize this?

And just let go all this inter-denominational (with regards writers) bickering,

And allow all of us to have fun, as writing is just that,

Even though some have forgotten that fact…
