Let us just start to throw books in the fire,

To burn all the writers of note-worthiness,

Kafka, Freud, Thoreau, Sartre, Confucius,

And some of our own,

Some who may, in future be the best.

Understandably, this site is owned and operated,

By someone that has our best at heart,

But do they realize that’s how Hitler got his start?

Okay, maybe I am being overboard, going to the extreme,

But this is what I see in reality, not what I dream.

So should we all raise our arms in a joint salute?

Or can we find a way to avoid the wearing of jack-boots?

The scream of brown-shirted storm troopers,

Chanting “Das Writer”, send them all off to camp,

To be brainwashed to writing what the dictator of the site,

Wants us to write,

Will I find myself, dragged from my bed this night?

To be branded with a poem on my arm, there for life…

If so then I go willingly, torture part of their trade,

I go with my friends of this website, on my mind,

Maybe if they take me, the others they won’t find…

Never will I bow to the Fuehrer’ wishes,

Never will I change what I write for someone else,

Never will I also leave this site, not willingly,

Never will I allow my freedom of speech to become,

That which Hitler did kill for,

To be the leader of NONE!
