Poets Are Dropping Like Flies...

I wish, whatever was done, was not,
I wish, whoever did it, did not,
I wish, all could go back to the way it was...but it has not!

Poets Are Dropping Like Flies…

What a shame it is, they are dropping,

People I have come to respect & even love, in a way,

Their works, their lives, their loves, their pain,

All seem to be dropping like rain…

What brought this all on?

Was it something someone said?

Did someone else arrange all this?

If so, they should be dropping, like dead…

I know if not for this recent problem,

I would have not written a certain poem,

The best one I think I ever did,

Well, as far as a semi-political write, or so I would bid…

But to be honest with you all,

I would be most willing to give it back,

To never written it at all,

To have all the poets that I did love,

Return and give us their best again,

I miss them one and all…

Dont feel bad matey, you didna do nuffin, and if the worst comes to the worst, we can always form the Dead Poets society, seems logical to me.

Ed,

1) LOL...to Hesione.

2) I have a feeling the poets are still buzzing about. As far as I can tell, people attach way too much emotion into the interent. But just remember this:

Poets come and go
on the wind of ego.
Attention is what they seek
if they are weak.

Happy Valentine's Day to you Ed.

Hi Ed,
I think one of problems inherent on vanity sites that nobody really cares about the poor old gnu,
That is being mauled by the lions, as long as it is not them is being chased.
there is always plenty more go at.

On the other hand, it could just those be black widow spiders they have a terrible appetite,
No wonder they are so fat, well it makes their wine glass look more inviting.

As for flies, sometimes you can see where they have been.

Though I am not sure about digging those corpses up, I might draw the line there.

And don’t complain about my reviews, you should consider your self-lucky,
that you get one, nobody else does.

Hesione Rhadamanthus.

I am not aware of your poem, Ed or what has been going on. My choice to leave became a reason, centered solely around my book publication and NOT around you or anyone else here. However, I have decided to resume posting on somewhat of a limited basis, again now. Whatever has happened, your poem is of the utmost sincerity and true to the depths of your heart.
Take care.
Jill
