 Before all things came desire

And it is the restlessness of desire

That led to  creation, hence the world

 

Kama, a dark and handsome archer

  God of sensual love,passion, desire

Fills  air with romance

  Rouses the five senses

 Fresh blooms offer pollen

   pour nectar at his feet

  Five flowers as the  arrows

 

The shaft of sugarcane is his bow

The sap of life is so sweet

The bee seeking the nectar

Is for the wonderful delights worldly

Its  sting serves as the bowstring

 The lovely  parrot is the chariot

The red beak of the parrot

 Is for hope for good happenings

 The bright green in its feathers

Stands for   fruit which will  ripen

It is desire along with hope

 

 That bears the fruit of one’s likening

So love keeps blossoming all the time

 

 pay heed to hearts rumbling

never crush it for that will stay

"

What a great story of creation. No doubt much truth in it since desire does fuel the need to create. This poem has a gentle feel to it. I enjoyed reading it.
