She knew him just enough
Good time in life as his wife
For less than a cycle of the moon
A life so full she lived
In those few days of bliss
Down the iron gates she makes haste where they meet now
On Saturdays , the ritual she holds close to her heart
He behind bars, for her a fifteen year chase,
Knocking at every door, she cries, she pleads for his life
It is her beloved waiting, his turn at the gallows now
She believes in his innocence
Can’t you see it in his eyes?
She seems to question at his trial
For in his eyes, there is longings, hurting love, empty dreams
Simmering pain, unsaid truths ,biased judgments choking him
She believes some miracle will unite them
Love ya!
