Do a job right and you'll get your reward !

The Blue Thing


One day a blue thing
with four hands and two feet
went looking to find a job,

He had no money
and no food to eat
and felt like eating a hog,

He came to a farmer
who needed some help
the farmer said yes you are hired ,

The eggs need fetched
and the cows need milked
and the logs need put on the fire,

So the hungry blue thing
he started to work
and he found he had too much to do ,

So he threw all the eggs
over the fence
and gathered but only a few,

He milked but one cow
and was kicked in the head
but he managed to keep his restraint,

Because he still had
to finish the job
or go to sleep hungry and faint,

So he gathered the wood
to put on the fire
and the farmer invited him in ,

To sit down to sup
with him and his dog
and the blue thing felt happy again,

For days he did work
and gathered the eggs
and didn't think wasting would hurt,

And the farmer did pay him
with eggs he had found
that were over the fence in the dirt,

So the moral you see
is don't be like this thing
cause it only will cause you great pain,

For if your not true
in the job that you do
it's your own fault whatever you gain !
