I saw the sun
Bury itself in the horizon.
Night brought the darkness,
That I know so well.
Four walls with no windows,
To peer at life as it is.
Better to know the darkness,
Than the evil outside these walls.
To walk the quagmired streets,
Waiting to bury you in.
But what is there to lose
If I should fall in.
I, the temple of my thoughts,
Wandering the haze of day.
Knowing there is no tomorrow
That will let this sorrow go away.
So in the darkest corner I find
The peace that darkness brings.
There the dreams become reality,
And I am free again..
all your paths *George*
even in darkness....

Your poem gently reminds me to know the darkness
of the world is everywhere, but then reassures me
the chambers of our souls are protected from it's evil
