Painted White

Freshly painted, white as snow

Everything looks bright.

I will have to leave my footprints

On this marvelous painted lawn.

The wind is brisque but mild

Normal for this time of year.

The birds will have to hunt and forage

As food will be scarce to find.

But drop by my back yard

My daughter has five bird feeders

Full of all your delights

And even some peanuts.

Must hurray now

Must pay my respects to my God.

He is waiting patiently at Mass

For this sinner to repent.

The nice thing about winter is how mother nature can cover up all the ravages of men with just a light dusting of snow––a new paint job on old debris.

And what a beautiful backdrop eh George?
Lets all feed His little creatures as I do...
I have 3 bird feeders over the white snow and
one in the back full of peanuts for the squirrels...

Lovely painting in white George

"this marvelous painted lawn" is a nice comparison. It's interesting to see the flow of your thoughts on your way to church. I especially like the stanza where you invite the birds to drop by.

The snow and the birds fly and bring us a message from Him on high that we are blessed and in that rest.

Love ya!

Say Something Terrorible v3 by RickthePoetWarrior

My mom says ‘If you can’t say anything nice then don’t say anything’. Sorry mom but under the guise of poetic license I penned these beauties.
