Even the waters know their height

Though they ravage all in site.

Soon they deminish and are gone

Leaving behind a terrible sight.

Can we one day look back

And hope the good outweighs the lack.

For in our minds we create the good

If our actions show how we understood.

A smile outweighs a scowl

A friendly word a friend will make.

Look for the good and not dwell on the bad

Even the sad have known how to be glad.

So kick your troubles down the street;

Like a can when you were a kid.

There is much joy in a happy mind-

A peace that so many try to find.
