Waking to the distress
That another year has gone by.
Wondering as I oft do,
Will this be the last, if so good bye.
The oldest now of my clan
And the last there will ever be.
No more heirs to carry the name,
Now left to posterity.
So my words must linger on
And be kept in the stable
Of those who live on
After I'm placed next to my beloved.
One day when this world
Has run its course.
We will all be alive again,
No more aches or pains to curse.
no need to feel distress and it will live on...
Cheers and great tidings for this day (I'm belated)
