Age seems to find you
At some point in life.
You find the easy things you did,
Are now not worth the effort.
Yet your ego is still active
And keeps you young at heart.
It will not give in to advancing age,
And tries to keep it far apart.
But in the end age wins out,
When the body must give in.
The creeky bones can't be ignored,
Or the slowness in your gait.
So you sit upon your rocking chair,
And think of days long gone.
It's nice to have those youthful
Thoughts of when you were but a boy.

truth and it also helps paint a wonderful picture into each readers
mind of their youthful days and how they were able to do a lots of
things that we might not be able to do now because of age. (smile)
It is good to "Have Dreams To Remember". Thanks for writing this poem.
Not ready for the rocking chair yet, so a wheelchair will have to do.
