The mask of yesterday is off.
No need of a disguise.
What you see is reality,
Facing the day, unafraid.
Ambition has lost the prize
It had sought to attain.
An arrow that missed its mark,
Though the aim was straight.
Mingling in my thoughts, awash
With ideas of tranquility sought.
I but a slave of ambition-
Needless are the goals I sought.
There will be new prizes tomorrow,
That will appear and disappear.
I shall capture what I see and hold it,
It will be mine and I’ll never set it free.
Love ya!
