Spent are my days of labors sweat,

In a body that enjoys its rest.

No longer need I prove my worth,

As I am doing what I do best.

O let the fools boast and brag,

Let their work earn their labor.

Once I was one of them,

But now it's my rest that I favor.

It was my yesterday's that I labored within
Now as you say, it's my turn to rest till my tomorrows
Bring me final rest
Peace be with you

I've sweated over many a work day outside in the sweltering sun. I like sitting here under AC and writing my poems . . .
