Summer time is almost over,

I look froward to the coolness

That Fall will bring to this old duffer,

Who never really liked the heat of Summer.

I prefer cooler temps all year round,

But can't knock what the Lord gives me.

There are many who love warm weather,

But I can't say I'm one of them.

As a kid the weather didn't bother me.

So I loved the freedom from school,

And played ball all day long.

The 90 degree days were for swimming.
