The silence of the knock

That went unheard to my ear.

Part of age that deminishes

The capabilities I once had.

Let me not bemoan what time has

Taken from me, but rest assured

It has not heard the last from me.

At least that thought comforts me.

Knowing my limitations, without

A complaint, I proceed forward.

Can't let a lapse in memory define

The whole, but just a part of me.

Now that's an attitude I like to see. Even at my youthful age I'm finding my vision getting tired, my hearing failing, and my memory lapsing from time to time. Moving forward is the best thing we can do… Just like you.

Who are you again and what are we talking about...? Might as well poke fun at what time does diminish as we all are heading in that direction & eventually we will forget who we are, hell what eventually, I am there sometimes now.. <smile> -e-

You are a smart guy! We can't let time define who we are. Excellent thought, George!!

Forgetfulness is a form of freedom, or at least I think that's what they said.
