I find that time is rushing by

So fast and beyond my wits.

If only it would take it slow

And let me ponder a bit.

Time and tide must have its day,

There is no stopping this.

So tarry not with usless tasks

Or you, of this day, will miss.

The splender of a thoughtless day,

Which at times can be refreshing.

Let my worries slow down a bit,

Of this I would be cherishing.

It's been a while since I allowed my thoughts to get the best of me as I jot it down before I forget. lol But I do agree, at times it can be so refreshing.

Yes, our thoughts can get the best of us. I find if I'm engaged in something really interesting, or sleeping deeply, my thoughts don't get the best of me.

This book represents a thirty-day period of my poetry journal. Each poem addresses the dominant thoughts occupying my mind during the early morning hours of a given day.

Say Something Terrorible v3 by RickthePoetWarrior

My mom says ‘If you can’t say anything nice then don’t say anything’. Sorry mom but under the guise of poetic license I penned these beauties.
