Where do the lost moments of life lie,
That I may come and visit them?
Too many of mine are there-
Wish it weren't so.
We don't do it carelessly,
It just happens.
I can't blame it on old age
As it happened long before.
O may my mind remain alert
And let it savor what life gives.
We have such a brief stay,
Let us make the most of it.
