Left at the barrier, Much like a startled horse. Never left the gate, My senses off the course. How can I reconcile That which is to no avail. It will remain unsent Causing me much disontent. Seek not that lost thought, As it will remain just a thought. One that never materialized, Or was put to a final print.

I know the feeling. How many times do I find myself standing in a room asking what was I going to do? I tell myself that I have a lot on my mind, and the unimportant stuff is being pushed out to make room.

I'm finding that I'm losing those thoughts more often these days. But I blame it on the constant interruptions and distractions of modern life rather than simply the lost mental capability of growing older. After all as we age, we have more history to pack into our brains� Right?

Since it's where I get most of my thought, I have a digital recorder by my bed. It's a great thought catcher, unless the batteries are dead.
