When Steve Jobs was
crossing over to the other side
he was heard to exclaim:
“OH WOW! OH WOW! OH WOW!!!”
I’ve thought about this
many times in my
contemplative moments
We can pray to God
and the Great Wondrous Light
that tries to describe His Glory
But to recognize that we are
THAT
We are God is something most
of us can’t wrap our heads around
This is truly the WOW factor
All the illustrious Mystics, Avatars and Scriptures
Have stated this fact:
Sai Baba: "I am God.” “You too are God. The only
difference between you and me
is that while I am aware of it, you are completely unaware."
Master Jesus: “If your leaders say to you, 'Look,
the kingdom is in the sky,'
then the birds of the sky will precede you.
If they say to you,
'It is in the sea,' then the fish will precede you.
Rather, the kingdom is within you and it is
outside you. When you know yourselves,
then you will be known,
and you will understand that
you are children of the living Father.
But if you do not know yourselves,
then you live in poverty, and you are the poverty."
Lord Buddha: “Nirvana is stated to be eternally abiding.
The Tathagata [Buddha] is also thus,
eternally abiding, without change.”
Rumi: :When the Shaykh (Halláj) said ‘I am God’
and carried it through (to the end),
he throttled (vanquished) all the blind (sceptics).
When a man's ‘I’ is negated (and eliminated)
from existence, then what remains?
Consider, O denier.”
Bhagavad Gita: “He who is rooted in oneness
realizes that I am in every being;
wherever he goes, he remains in me.
“The embodied soul is eternal in existence,
indestructible, and infinite,
only the material body is factually perishable,
therefore fight O Arjuna.”
Holy Bible: “For now we see through a glass, darkly;
but then face to face:
now I know in part; but then shall I know
even as also I am known.”
And spirits themselves tell us we must atone, replenish, and become born and reborn again and again until we get it right. Only then can we find the WOW factor. Beautiful thoughts, Sonya.
