I must confess, I am not big on doing housework
although, a clean living environment
is preferable to chaos and dirt
And my dearest hubby has chosen garden work
over sweeping and scrubbing lol
Today, as I mopped the floor,
the mindful bell app we downloaded onto
our cell phones went off
Mindfully, I breathed in the present moment
dipping the cotton mop into a bucketful of
tart smelling vinegar water
Consciously, I swooshed the mop over
our lovely ceramic marbled cream tiles
whirling back and forth in a steady rhythmic pattern
Being an artist the mop resembled
a huge paint brush curving around edges,
removing grime, revealing the natural
pristine beauty of our flooring
Smiling, I continued through the whole house
stopping to freshen the bucket of water...mindfully
Towards the end of this experience
I began chanting Om, Om, Om
with each swirl of the besom
