The heavens softly don
an enormous
gray silk bonnet
adorned with birds, blue curls
white nonpareils and
bits of Queen Anne's lace
My morning jaunt is
s-o-o much more comfortable
when the sun decides
to take a vacation
Toss in a breeze
snowballing from the north,
earthy pine kisses, friendly
neighbors waving,
a hug from my honey
And I know! I can make
this two mile trek :)
Hi Dear Ron
Yes, I am very grateful for this beautiful neighborhood. Wow! 6 miles is impressive. I am trying to do 2 miles in the morning and then evolve throughout the day to a total of between 8,000 and 10,000 steps. As we age being mindful of exercise and its benefits is so rewarding.
Wishing you sweet dreams
and a blissful dawn

You sure can. My sister-in-law used to do 6 miles to the local Arboretum, view the beautiful flowers there, and then walk back. With her now gone, my brother still goes out every day he can on a bike ride or walk. What's different is your beautiful neighborhood that you walk in. So many don't have that.
Mary Angela Nangini's poems celebrate the richness of life and love. From the city to cottage-country and the roads in between, Nangini explores the changing seasons of her varied region. (This book will soon be reprinted in hard cover.)
