This poem expresses the intense depth
of longing the individualized soul has
for the eternal divine vast being often
referred to as the "Beloved".
Despite appearing separate the jivi like the moon
experiences the light and love of the Beloved shining
Full and bright assauging grief, suffering, lonliness and illusion.
Sending you a cup of sunshine I am sure you'll see your face reflected in the vast brightness

I searched for the moon in the poem and didn't find it. But I think that perhaps the moon looking down on the scene unfolding between two lovers at a time of heartbreak is what you mean. Only the moon sees what is happening.
