I love to watch egrets fly
white wings glide past me
in concert
as I pause my morning stroll
my spirit not the least bit shy
joins the beautiful congregation
soaring through the twinkling blue
White egrets are beautiful to watch. Especially when flying against a blue sky. We had a rookery nearby. But the birds are quite messy and attract a lot of vermin. So the trees were cut down and they moved on to another location.
