Ecstatic poetry

The huge inflated 
Christmas teddy bear
on my neighbor's lawn
holding a red and white
candy cane 
opens and closes
his vinyl arms
"Teddy I need a hug,"  I whisper
also opening my arms wide
"In fact I think the whole world does"
