Ecstatic Poetry
It feels like winter monsoons gutters overflow into little lakes David and I pedal through the flooded streets a few streaks of blue on the horizon are a welcome sight I wish for a bit of pink somewhere perhaps a pink spoonbill soaring through the gray or a pink swan floating on the swollen swail.... All in all We are grateful for a break in the incessant downpours a long black cloud resembling a train treks across my path and I start humming an old Crosby, Stills and Nash song: "Would you know we're riding on the Marrakesh Express? Would you know we're riding on the Marrakesh Express? They're taking me to Marrakesh All aboard the train, all aboard the train" I laugh and try to catch up to David's daddy long legs cycling down Perry Street

What a wonderful poem about a wonderful outing in the rain soaked streets. Crosby Stills and Nash were perhaps the best harmonizers of their time and songs like, The Marrakesh Express, still resonate today. Making beautiful what some would call a bad day.

I love it and our earth, too.
