When I visited Badrinath
in 2009
the path ascending the
mountain seemed to
stretch out endlessly
This was the same road
the Pandavas tread and
dropped their bodies
one by one...
As I gazed at this
heavenly trek
frozen lips of blue glacier
mountain range
silently chant
Sri Hari Vishnu
Sri Hari Krishna
OHariji my breath is thin
near the summit
skin and bones rattle in
the frigid air
But... I can see glow
of Your eternal eyes
rising like twin suns
at the apex...
like fires of love that
can never be
extinguished
I am Yours
Luminous One
body, mind and spirit
