I walked up Perry and
down Island street today
3 weeks since hip surgery
I took periodic rests
in my walker
which I still need for support
as I relaxed in my walker
I noticed a 3/4 moon in the sky
it reposed so softly
like a diaphanous lotus
floating on heaven's
blue sea

I reflected

our bodies are
mostly water and
the mental world with all
its rising and ebbing
thoughts and passions
