My 40-year-old dual white and purple crêpe myrtle may be on its last legs. But the one on the front of the house, finally out of the shade of huge trees, is blooming more gloriously than ever.
Two rosebushes in the front of the house, twice this year with ample rain, bloomed gloriously until they grew long and leggy with no blooms. I asked her to cut them back and we will see if they are reborn this winter.

Crepe Myrtle is a beautiful addition to the garden. When I lived in Arkansas I had a very pretty pink one.
Flowers always lift the spirit So that it can soar.
