Ecstatic Poetry
Showy ballerina pink mandevilla belles Gallant hibiscus wearing sunny sombreros With a drop of maroon in the center Yellow sloppy painter Croton Cheer my Spirit .... and hopefully others in our neighborhood as we anxiously, numbly wait for yet another storm to roar past us A zebra butterfly blithely alights on a purple Porter weed Storm weary Florida hurriedly hangs shutters, chops down branches clears yards hauls gallons of water and other supplies When I pause to reflect... all in all It's just another divine numinous day In the Sunshine State

In the old days, the butterflies knew it was coming before humans. But now we have ways of tracking that scare us, sometimes into model behavior like crowding the roadways until everyone is stuck and going nowhere with no water and no gasoline.

I hope you are prepared and staying safe. This is a killer storm for those that do not heed the warnings by officials.
