Ecstatic Poetry
I flew to Prashanti
on the delicate wings
of a dream
Puttaparthi was its
usual colorful, bustling self
street vendors offered
brisk morning coffee
bright red and yellow fabrics
flapped in the warm breeze
I carried my suitcase up
a porcelain white staircase
the room was prepared
with soft fresh scented linen
It felt so divine
to be here... if only in a dream
I stepped out onto
an elegant veranda
overlooking Prashanti
Breathing in the
Splendor of Sai
my gaze soared
far away
from this Earth
bridging only the
eyes of my Swami
from a point not in
Prashanti nor America
From a perspective
only the Soul, the Self,
remembers.....
