In modern society, unfortunately
our eyes are always
flashing, blinking dollar signs
and the sound of cash registers
ring in our ears
Mitra, there is only so much
we can purchase, consume
or adorn ourselves with
it's like a bottomless pit...
sure, we need money
to exist and live
but it's not the end all
measure of a worthwhile life
It will never bring us
lasting happiness
Instead of refining gold
we should endeavor
to refine our characters
Immerse our hearts with
the immeasurable, unalloyed
Wealth and Grace of
God's love, God's bliss
