Ecstatic Poetry |
|
I light a solitary candle
on my windowsill
and chant Your holy name
The half moon looks down
on my lonely vigil
like a tearful orb
in the night sky
I whisper Your sublime name
108-fold
Do you even hear
my ardent plea?
I have left the comfort
of close companions
and worldly joys
for Your divine presence
The compass of my heart
spins in so many directions
Is there any place
Where are You are not?
