Poem Artwork

I woke up this morning feeling lonely and blue.

I clung to self-pity, and even cried for a while

Until I looked up and was reminded of You

And all traces of sorrow were replaced by a smile.

Little bubbles of joy burst out of my heart,

Some floating through my arms, lifting them high.

Other bubbles slip down to my feet and I start

to bounce up and down like I could leap to the sky.

I wiggle and twirl with no rhythm or rhyme

to the song that You put in my heart and my soul.

The music is Yours, but the joy is all mine

as I reach the place where praising You is my goal.

I forget all my troubles that now seem petty and small

As, like King David, I dance with no dignity

before the True King, I am giving my all

I'm dancing for You, Daddy, will You dance with me?

You have turned for me my mourning into dancing;
You have put off my sackcloth and clothed me with gladness..

Psalm 30:11

My heart aches for those who refuse to acknowledge that God is. If they only knew how He loves them, they would rejoice with you!
Please keep writing; this poem reminds me to focus on the joy of my Lord, not the problems in my life.
I love your picture!

Hugs,
Connie

You remind me of Luther Vandross's classic tearjerker. But let's not go dancing with mythological caricatures when real fathers want to dance with their daughters.

As You See The Day Approaching by John Owens

All the prophetic pieces are assembling before our eyes. It is time to prepare for Earth's final hour. There is hope for the future as you see that Day approaching.
