Christmas Roses-
The rose petals fell from her shaking hands to mix with her loving tears,--
As Her memory returned to that Christmas past, when she faced the empty years--
She couldn’t believe the horrible news, and sat in sad despair.--
Because at tomorrow’s sunrise, she knew he wouldn’t be there,---
One more day till Christmas, and her life long love is gone,---
Her hurting heart is bitter ,everything was oh so wrong,---
“Is life still worth the living in a world so all alone,---
Can I even face tomorrow, my heart is cold as stone,---
Bitterness and depression , life can never be the same,===
His love was taken from me , his failing heart to blame,---
Here I sit on Christmas Eve in self pity and despair.---
Sad, alone and hopeless, God I pray, he’s with you there,---
Crying just won’t help , but here it comes again,---
That door bells ringing loud, I wish that it would end,---
In anger yes, I jerked it open to say no, but before it closes,---
I see a young man from UPS with a big bouquet of roses--
He said, Ma’am Your husband ordered these, said they’re for his Darling Mrs.==
It says here “Thanks for being so wonderful Dear ,I love you most at Christmas,”--

When I was close to death at Christmas time 2012, my partner had some of those same fears that I extinguished by coming home and getting stronger right away.
