Waiting and wondering, gazing into nothing I'm withering slowly, mouth all agape Eyes hanging open and nostrils all a flare Locking on a target and trying not to stare Palm getting sweaty and the climax coming soon Lost, blind, and walking on the dark side of the moon
She's waiting for me by sunlight I'm so cold and shivering But looking back in hind-sight I'd do it all again
I've found that breaking a heart in two Isn't really that hard to do I was trying so hard to be one of the few But, in the end, found myself on the dark side of the moon
The air that I'm breathing is thinking of leaving My soul has thoughts of running away I'm dreaming in a sleepless state In a world where there is no night and day
The motion of emotion is forming a tear And it's floating like an ocean far away from here Taking from me all that I had and more Abandoning reason like I did before
I'll sleep now, but not dream now And slowly fade into your mind And grip a piece of redemption at the last second Losing what I found to be too hard to find
Time is running slowly and my mind is too And I'll die here, as I lie here, on the dark side of the moon
