Didn't intend for this to seem conceited. Since "Newton's" laws utilize his name as part of the law, I thought I would follow that tradition. The poem portion of this piece ended up being an 8-count, Sonnet-like poem. Sometimes what comes out naturally, also comes out beautifully. I hope that's the case here.

Mason's First Law of Spiritual Motion states that:
A soul at rest --
remains at rest,
forever biding it's time;
until acted upon --
by an irresistible spiritual force,
of opposite and equally
powerful attraction.

Poetic Description of the First Law of Spiritual Motion
I'll stay the proper course, and so...
I'll make my restless soul be still;
And in my aching wanderings,
I'll beg for hope and strength of will...
To bide my time; as I wait here...
in vision's watchful windowsill;
To pour myself out full to you,
as you drink deep - of thoughts I spill;
To satiate your ev'ry need...
your tender heart, I'll wholly fill.
You never have to ask me to;
wait patiently in love; I will.
I'll always be right here for you;
alone; forever standing still.
