scattered presence of mind;
taut cords of distance
straining at the gateway
to you

flat chords of out-of-tune
reminiscence...

once again, i now languish;
destitute,
so lost
without the sound
of your sweet voice

and nothing but this horrid
overwhelming silence
to fill my world;

in this: the dark abyss...
devoid of any meaning;
wond'ring if the time
will ever come again
that we
will be

a fluid symphony
of flawless
seamless interplay
merging
in such a pefect way;

complete unto ourselves,
a perfect choral harmony

captured in eternal moments,
enraptured
in the glow
of the special love
that we both know

could not exist
beyond the two of us;

apart from this.

Gee Jeff, this was a field goal all the way, One of the things I really liked besides the personableness which this offered us, was the excellent use of words with consonance (think that's the right word) So it exhibited a feeling of grinding, as one would sense in emotions of this type displayed

taut cords of distance
straining

flat chords of out-of-tune
reminiscence

languish;
destitute,
so lost

the dark abyss...
devoid

but then you tossed the dissonance wen using your symphony analogy,

really liked, VERY skillful, Al

I couldn't express this better. You have so perfectly described the longing and angst one feels when the object of ones love is out of reach. This touched me deeply Jeff. Thanks for sharing...
