Your words, they do enrapture me;
yet to me it seems
that maybe this is real...
only in my dreams
There is no pretense evident
I feign no false designs
You are the missing element
Sending all the perfect signs
There are no grave intentions here;
Only fleeting moments we must steal...
What you have said... I clearly hear,
I feel exactly what you feel
what you have sent in
in countless thoughts
is what you truly mean
There's nothing left
to hold you back
from reaching me unseen.
Alluding to your cryptic illusion
will not dissuade me now
For what you've felt as your confusion
is simply love that doth endow...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~ (transition)
The smell of the fire...
burning away anything else that didn't matter;
us - warmer than the firelight,
me - staring lovingly and longingly
into the depth beyond your eyes;
seeing only you;
your face, your shape, your need for me...
unable to escape
the feel
of your captivating essence;
the way you smelled,
like newly-fallen rain...
and to me,
you always will remain...
more than just a memory --
more than just a part of me;
entrenched within my soul...
the core; the very heart of me;
the half that makes me whole.
where have you been my friend?
"of your captivating essence;
the way you smelled,
like newly-fallen rain..."
I am deeply touched by this poem.
