Just tossing the rough thoughts out there, onto the page.

Wand'ring through the desert...
left me thirsty,
Beyond a point
I could not quench
I found a place
among the dunes
and there
myself I did entrench
I knew it was a test
of fate for me;
Soon I couldn't tell
visions real
from scorching dreams
In deep despair I fell
so far...
no one could hear my screams...
---- chorus ----
Yesterday,
I thought I'd found my way...
but the end
had failed
to justify the means
Today,
wide awake I lay,
fin'lly realizing that
the world as we think know it...
is never truly
as it seems.
Is this the end...
or just a phantom rift
amid obscure
converging streams?
Can we begin again
in another place
where nothing's real...
out at the end
of all extremes;
when
the world as we think know it...
is never truly
as it seems?
:)
No, it never is, the reality is far more trippier than the illusion!
well done!
Love,
Eileen
I always enjoy your tossed words!!
