VERY GOOD... and made so strong by the excellent rhyme, rhythm and metre. This beats like a drum and rings like a tolling bell. You have made effective use of all the poetic tools and set the scene well, creating mood and atmosphere. The end result is very convincing and chilling reading... How very true that our past often seeks us out, though what we should endeavour to do is confront, learn and accept, once these are acheived the darkness and shadows are dispelled! Jeff, humanity is not infallible, though we are capable of forgiveness, self forgiveness is imperative!

The past is a powerful motivator. Sadly the negative experiences in our past often control us more than the positive. I have found in my own experiences that getting it out is the first step to being rid of it and moving forward into a healing.

Sometimes its those seasons of suffering that give us the most impressive fuel for our gifts and insights. A superb and relatable write Jeff - well done!
