borrowed time (potential song)

by Jeff Mason — Read all 207 poems by Jeff Mason

...no more pushing out - i only want to keep you in

Thursday, August 23, 2007

I would die
a thousand times again...

just to let you
in my skin...

just to be with you
and to see...

with you.

you are my true beginning;
and you will be my very end;

no more pushing out...
the world would fall away...
if I...
could be with you today;

and i would only want one single thing:
to feel you breathe.

to touch your face
would heal my sin...

you are my bliss; my hopeful ray

and i am begging you
to be with me;
to see...

with me...

that tomorrow might not come,
and i...
so desperately...
need you here today.

in a million years,
i could never... push you away...
i only want...
to seal you in...

to steal what's left...
of every sacred moment;

to hold your hand;
the two of us to face the wind...

the way you bless me with your kiss...
the way you love me with your eyes

you are my gift;
no sacrifice;
and I am yours...
and together we will reach beyond the skies...

the moon and stars will be our rhyme...

let's go in haste,
because I'm so afraid
that we might waste...
another priceless tick

of this...

our borrowed time.

Jeff, take the "potential" outta this song. It has a rhythm and a style and I believe it will sing well. Do it!

I can hear a contrapuntal arrangement of two acoustic guitars, a cello, and two violins playing behind a passionate vocal. This write drips with the writers romanticism. Good one Jeff!
Blessings ...

Such magnificent beauty. Not many love as intensely as you do Jeff and it always reflects in your work.
