Kinney's Road, town square, Springfiled movie theater, SouthPaw at the Armory, NewTown, Gaws, Flewellyn (Washington Rd), Coopertown, 49 Market, South Main. This is the Springfield I remember; the SouthTown I remember. These were the times we could walk across anyone's property, through the woods and the streams and the fields, and NOT get shot at! There were no Gangs, no guns and knives (nobody could PROVE it!); just companionship, commiseration, friendship, bonding. We looked out for each other. We had our differences, and we got over them.
