Traces

by Jeff Mason — Read all 207 poems by Jeff Mason

As before, this was inspired by Janet Caldwell; by her poem "Disarray"

Thursday, October 16, 2003

My poems give birth in unkempt places

And in the shapes of flower vases;

In our eyes and in the traces

of our tears as thought replaces

all our fears with words; embraces

all our years with verse to grace us

with the memories of things too

precious to forget.
