This will probably be the last I will post (maybe two more; it depends). I enjoy the Den, but I have to prioritize some things. I plan on taking about a month's hiatus, maybe longer. WARNGING! I may still come on and review other peoples' poetry and writing. :-)

Do you know Art?
I [KNOW] Art!
He was my roommate.
But… I am NOT an [Art] lover.
I [love] Art, though; don’t get me wrong!
He was always in my head, with his nihilistic fatalism,
His neoplatonic nepotistic duality.
He was a centrist; a reformer; a shadow-chaser.
He was a classicist; a ventriloquist of life;
Living vicariously on my living room couch;
In the bedroom; in the study; in the den; on the countertops.
He was an impressionist;
An abstractionist;
A romanticist;
A theologian;
An architect of hurt… and pain;
A creator of peace… and prosperity;
A lover… of life; not of me.
Art was… and is… philosophy… music… life… and love;
Infinite, immeasurable, unquantifiable… priceless.

I KNOW [Art]!

This writing touches me deeply.

My opinion is that this author is headed to the fountain of inspiration and creativity.

Andre, you are correct. This is more of a 'staggered Acrostic' (poetic license); i.e., [] highlighted words read [know] [art][love] [art]. And, thanks for the correction on 'theologian;' although I can also claim poetic license on that as well, I suppose. :) Jeff

“I Know Art (Acrostic)” is a very esoteric depicting of “ART” truly artistic and philosophical.

Through – Vertical left, Diagonal, Central or Vertical Right, – I found no “ACROSTIC”.

Could that be an “Artistic License” to write an “invisible acrostic”? (Grin)

This poem, “I Know Art (Acrostic)” is a masterpiece in contents and uniqueness. It offers an enjoyable reading.

LINE FIFTEEN where it reads “theologist”, it is fine with me, but it should be “theologian”.

I Salute You, Poet Jeff Mason.
